Human Reinvented
A Mental Model to Stay Relevant When Intelligence Is Abundant
Every six months, 15% of the royalties received by Shamang Publishing for Human Reinvented will be donated to Hey AI Foundation.
A mental model for navigating a world in which AI can make competent work abundant. Human Reinvented asks what humans must continue to build, contribute, and own when producing a good answer is no longer enough to set us apart.

The work beyond a competent answer.
Human Reinvented grew out of three years of writing, classroom work, talks, and conversations, including the writing of Hey AI, Let’s Talk! During that period, students, teachers, parents, accountants, and other professionals kept returning to the same question: what happens to human value when AI can produce work that once required significant skill, experience, and time?
The book begins with the clean 7, the competent professional result that organizations have traditionally treated as finished. AI is making that level of work increasingly available to everyone, weakening the old assumption that a strong output necessarily reflects strong thinking behind it. From there, the book examines what must change when producing good work is no longer enough: how we form our own standards, retain ownership of the reasoning behind our work, and use the capacity AI gives back to reach beyond what the machine is making ordinary.
The result is a mental model for AI × Me: not simply using AI to do the same work faster, but developing a human-machine combination that becomes more capable of contributing what matters as the work itself changes. The book is ultimately about how to take what the machine offers without surrendering what makes the work yours.
